PEAKfresh® Produce Retail Packs keep fruit and vegetables fresher, longer. In fact, they more than double the existing storage life!

PEAKfresh® Produce Retail Packs work by:

• Removing ethylene gas: Most fruit and vegetables release ethylene gas after harvest. Exposure of the produce to the gas accelerates aging and ultimate deterioration. PEAKfresh® Produce Retail Packs remove ethylene gas to prolong the life and freshness of the produce.
• Breathing: Unlike ordinary plastic bags, PEAKfresh® Produce Retail Packs 'breathe' so that damaging gases produced by the fresh produce are removed.
• Minimizing moisture formation: Anti-fogging treatment of the film surface minimizes moisture formation to inhibit mold and bacteria growth.

PEAKfresh® products are certified by Biological Farmers of Australia (BFA 5001) for the packaging of organic produce. Accredited to the International Federation of Organic Agricultural Movements (IFOAM).

DUO Bags

The PEAKfresh® Duo Bag is constructed of PEAKfresh® mineral impregnated film on the back with high gloss low density polyethylene film on the front.

Both films incorporate PEAKfresh® Anti-fog additive to limit the possibility of moisture build up and to keep the front panel clear.

The PEAKfresh® film on the back is highly permeable to gas transmission and has the ability to take up and remove damaging ethylene gas.

The impregnated mineral in PEAKfresh® film is hydroscopic and will absorb small amounts of moisture to maintain high humidity levels within the package.

The PEAKfresh® Duo Bag can be printed on the front panel (up to 10 colors using process and spot printing) and made as a resealable package for added benefit to retail customers of packaged fresh herbs.

Most fresh herbs will last at least 14 days when kept under refrigeration.
